Dr. Fujiwara is the inventor of Telomelysin® and Telomescan®. He has been one of the founding members of Oncolys's Board since 2004. After working closely with Dr. Jack A. Roth at M.D. Anderson Cancer Research Center of Texas University, Dr. Fujiwara currently serves as Professor & Chairman of Department of Gastroenterological Surgery Okayama University Graduate School of Medicine, Dentistry, and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Vice Director of Center for Gene and Cell Therapy of Okayama University Hospital. He also serves many counsel roles at following major medical and scientific institutions: The Japan Society of Gene Therapy, The Japanese Society of Regenerative Medicine, The Japanese Surgical Society for Gene Therapy, NEDO Technical Committee and American Association for Cancer Research (AACR). Moreover, he received four prizes so far, including AACR-Upjohn Young Investigator Scholar Awards, for his contributions to science. Dr. Fujiwara received his M.D. and Ph.D. from Okayama University. |
